First is Jackie Chan’s comeback as lead actor, director, producer, writer and action director in his final action-packed film Chinese Zodiac, which has now changed its’ international title to CZ12 and will premier in China on December 12. Will Jackie Chan finally impress us all with this one, after a long streak of disappointing films?
Second is Wong Kar-Wai’s forthcoming take on the legend behind wing chun master Yip Man in The Grandmasters starring Tony Leung Chiu-Wai. The most famous thing about this film is that it took the director ten years to make this, with issues along the way in form of pursuing rights from the Yip family as well as getting into a controversy with the film team of Ip Man. But now, the film has finally completed post-production and is set to be released on December 18. In other words, these two films will compete with each other at the local box-office once they are out.
