Justin Kohn, animator on Coraline, Nightmare Before Christmas, Team America and many others, is partnering up with The Stunt People to create a “steampunk” revision of H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds. Justin wants to revamp the franchise by putting his animation skills to the test and recreating the monsters without computer graphics, but with stop-motion animation. If you doubt him, check out the trailer below, which is a proof-of-concept with some pristine animation snippets. Once again, the animation is not cg, but hand-animated using labor-intensive stop-motion.

So far only the trailer has been shot, but we’re hoping to pull some financing for the project. Here’s hoping!

Check out the behind-the-scenes video below for some more fun:

Matt Somerville has released his promo trailer for “Foruson.” The trailer was shot purely for promotional purposes, and most everything that was shot is in the trailer.

We’re going to try and get hold of the bar fight, since that one was shot with continuity.

A couple of stoners and a tourist witness a deal about to go bad. When the reputed kingpin spots them, it is time for some ACTION & COMEDY!

Directed by Jose Montesinos and featuring Dennis Ruel, Andy Long, Vlad Rimburg, Troy Carbonel, Ray Carbonel, Shaun Finney, Ed Kahana, Ken Quitugua, Sari Sabella, and Giovannie Espiritu.
