Indie Action Roundup for the week of December 28, 2011

The Young Masters have a teaser up for their latest film SWAG , showing that the two brothers have a couple new members on their team. Anyone familiar with YM’s work knows that Hideyoshi and Fukuyoshi have an on-screen fighting chemistry that’s hard to beat, so we’ll have to wait and see how the new guys stack up!

Emmanuel Manzanares from Lazy Brown Productions just announced that their film Those Who Go To Hell (which features various folks from The Stunt People) will be scrapped. However he will edit and release what he’s shot so far:

After 3 years in production with a zero budget, I attempted to produce and finish a martial arts noir feature film called “Those Who Go To Hell”. However, due to lack of funds and scheduling/location problems, we sadly had to scrap the film over time. After a 2 year hiatus and much thought, I have finally decided to edit the approx 80-85% footage we shot and release an unfinished “workprint” version of the film online, in 4 parts, beginning Jan. 1st, 2012. The team and I thank everyone, especially the cast and crew, for their support, time, dedication, and efforts. Come next year, we will all be proud to share with you the amazing talent we were blessed to collaborate and work with, and we hope you can enjoy what we have all made together.

Check out the trailer here:

This last one’s a bit older but still stacks up. Vlad Rimburg‘s Mickey pits Mickey Facchinello against three dudes Snatch-style. Vlad’s become known for bringing Korean-style choreography into the independent world.

If you’ve got some new indie goods you’d like featured, send em my way.
