Now I’m off to the cave to finish behind the scenes. Johnny Yong Bosch’s interview just came in, and the damned making-of video The Life of Death Grip is already two hours long. But first, a full-night’s sleep.
On Pete’s World of Martial Arts and Science, Pete visits a martial arts school where the master does a different type of Karate. Grandmaster Okuma demonstrates his ki power by throwing his students without even touching them. Intentionally made so it looks like it was recorded off an old VHS.
Dennis Ruel has just finished his short “Patient Zero,” an action film about a group of college students caught up in a crazy experiment. Two guys and a girl wake up to find they’re trapped in a building and being persued by angry college kids and a zombie.
As I wrote a couple months ago, Manny and Shawn from Lazy Brown Productions came and visited the San Francisco Bay Area to work on their film “Those Who Go to Hell.” The Stunt People took part in the shooting, and in our free time we went and shot “Flower Thieves,” a short about Manny and Shawn breaking into Eric’s house and ruining his life. It’s just a short comedy with a quick fight scene at the end. Enjoy.
Dennis Ruel has a new demo reel up, and it’s packed with some juicy new stuff. Check out Dennis Ruel’s Bio too when you get a chance.
