R.I.P. Alan Sit Chun-Wai, Hong Kong stuntman from Jackie Chan films

If the name doesn’t ring a bell, the face will. The long-haired stuntman known for his parts in Rumble in the Bronx and Thunderbolt passed away on July 17th, 2011. This post comes a bit late but I came across some of his work and thought it a shame that little had been mentioned of his death.

Alan’s most memorable role was in Rumble in the Bronx, where he stood off against Jackie in the film’s major fight scenes. Below are the best ones, with Alan doing some great visual gags. You can tell Jackie trusted him, which is the gold standard for any stuntman. Alan also headed up the mechanic shop fight in Thunderbolt. A comphrensive list of his films can be seen here.
